Just in case any of you wanted to give this a shot with Prismacolor Premiers, here’s a list of the colors I picked. Your eyes may vary.

922 (Poppy Red)

918 (Orange)

1021 (Jade Green)

and a combination of 907 (Peacock Green) and 1065 (Cool Grey 70%)

for a restricted palette challenge

Hello, R. Tumblr is no longer supporting tags with hyphens. This change has been made to ensure consistency in tags and tag searches.

We are aware that this change is breaking tag filter links in some cases. You may have to remove hyphens from your tags in order for your tag filter links to work.

Having looked a little more closely, I see why—hyphens (technically, hyphen-minuses) have suddenly become the substitute character for spaces in tags. (edit: Plus signs don’t work anymore either. I wonder if underscores were broken too.)

advance notification sure would have been nice and a mass tag editor would be even nicer, but I guess redundant messaging systems and Missing E fearmongering takes priority over stuff like that huh

I am open for commissions again, hopefully for the last time until summer or something. Please consider me if you have some cash to spare! This time around, I’m offering three styles of normal art:

CG chubby cell chibi - $8USD per character (see the Sailor Moon samples)
CG skinny airbrush chibi - $10USD per character (see the sample trio)
waist-up sketches - $5USD per character (see sample of cute Edward chan desu)

I’m also doing something I have NEVER DONE BEFORE—- offering porn commissions. I do draw porn. Pretty much all types (any orientation! most body types!) so long as the subject is humanoid (with the exception of tentacle porn, i will totally draw that!). I’m only offering digital sketches right now because…. yeah, man, I’ve never done this porn thing before. Censored samples are here (by clicking, you are verifying that you’re of age to view adult material!): NSFW | NSFW | NSFW | NSFW!! I guess each of these would be about $12USD (more if you want something more complex, but that can be discussed). You would get like… the airbrush sketch with more solid lines overtop. I can maybe be bribed into doing full CG, but… I dunno.

I can also offer buttons for a buck a piece plus shipping if you want buttons of your commission. They’d be 1.25” pinbacks like these!

It seems unlikely that anyone is actually trying to claim that anger is an effective way to get people to listen and understand.

Expressions of anger are acceptable in social justice circles because marginalized people are justified in any rage they might feel against the majority culture oppressing them. It is their due for being silenced everywhere else online and offline.

If you want to be a good ally, you have to be willing to set aside your lesser hurt feelings and guilt at their anger and pain and listen to what marginalized people are saying.

True. But for people who are raised in sheltered, homogeneous environments, this isn’t something that comes naturally. If you want to help your cause most effectively, you tailor the speech to the audience. A random stranger on the street/ your dash isn’t going to understand the source of your rage without context, and a few bad experiences aren’t going to make them inclined to seek it out and come to a higher understanding.

Is rage justified for a marginalized person? Yes.

Is patience necessary? Yes.

Are both possible? Yes.

Do people forget that? Yes. And unfortunately, that is the point that is often forgotten on both sides and is often poorly articulated.

I wasn’t going to reblog any of this fuckin’ mess because OH GOD EVERYWHERE and a lot of it diverges too far from my views for a tacit endorsement anyway.

I’ve been buying groceries for my three person family, and getting like two shifts a week at my job if I’m lucky… I’m gonna be barely able to pay my own bills this month, and I have noooo money for transit. I don’t think I’ve ever wangsted like this and begged for commissions before, particularly during nanowrimo (ugh), but I would really appreciate if anyone could give me a hand by purchasing some art? An extra thirty bucks will get me bus fare to get to and from my job for like two weeks.

The little waist-up drawing here is kind of what I can do at this time, and I’d be happy to draw some for $5 USD (paypal only) a pop.
