Do you mix ink often or do you prefer to use one ink at a time? Any favorite combos/inks? I’m also really curious about what pens you use! 8D
Three favorites: Dark Green, Poussière de Lune, Rouge Hematite.
I don’t mix colors much. Last year I was using Diamine Emerald + Aurora Blue, but Emerald solo has grown on me since then.
More recently I’ve been mixing Diamine Vermillion + J. Herbin Rouge Hematite. Rouge Hematite is an incredible color, but the ink is very concentrated and there are downsides to that—so I’ve been tempering it with a weaker red.
Believe it or not, I’d planned on making a pen collection post for similar “stop buying more you giant moron” reasons sometime next week…when my two latest acquisitions arrive. /fail
But in case you were curious, below are the two I’ve got on-hand and inked.
Top: Pelikan M640 Indian Summer, F nib (Aurora Blue)
Bottom: Aurora 85th Anniversary, M nib (Diamine Dark Green)
