So I guess my collector status is official now, having jumped on an LE set of notebooks. Isn’t that ridiculous? You can chuckle if you like. They’re certainly nice, which I already knew from the reviews I’ve been reading for the past four years, but at about $10 each I can’t recommend them to anyone who isn’t a collector, a spendthrift, or a diehard US manufacturing supporter. I will be getting some more sets
edit: oh wow the Moleskine equivalent costs more per notebook and has fewer pages? ahahaha, those guys are really the worst
The pencils are interesting but not super-special, and the roughness Pencil Revolution found so endearing kinda grates on me! Oh well. They’re not a bad product and I wouldn’t want to dissuade anyone else from tryin’ em—they’re just not for me.
…Those extras they threw in are kinda cool, but I have no idea what I’m gonna do with that temporary tattoo!
This was going to be a submission for WAC based on this prompt, but…there’re a lot of things I don’t like, I kinda got exhausted after spending so much time on Ead’s head, and then lol deadlines. Part of me wants to just slog through because people are still submitting stuff today for this challenge, but I don’t think there’s any way I can make it before Kuri catches up tonight…

i was actually interested in this challenge, but i was very intimidated to go and draw based off someones writing. man, those guys are actually pretty amazing! i eventually went with this one, i hope i did it some justice!

Pencils.com did a “buy a sketchbook, get four Blackwings free” deal, so I jumped. As expected, these are really nice pencils…smooth and dark, much like the regular Palominos I already had.

I debated with myself about scanning this, but then figured maybe someone else also continually makes this same dumb mistake (not drawing enough chest/placing breasts too high) and then can’t figure out why the arms don’t go on right. WELL, HERE IS A REASON. Probably not the only reason.

WELP. The NaNoWriMo Book In You journal and a small set of YWP pencils arrived today, so I’m gonna blab about stuff like last year.
The pencils are…standard scholastic-grade pencils. I should have known better than to expect something more upscale, since they were made for the Young Writer’s Program. And I ain’t mad that they’re not Blackwings or Hi-Unis or Mono 100s or whatever…but it’s unfortunate that they’re not on par with my Ippos. I mean, the lead broke twice when I first started sharpening one.
…But hey, there’s a novel inside! I’ll never buy them again, but it’ll be fun to see how many I can go through before December.
Overall I’m pleased. Now to figure out how to outline…
I was an omnipresent observer, watching this party of five travel far and wide. Eventually they reached this desert. And while they were originally just passing through, when they stumbled upon that shrine they decided releasing the small god inside was an important part of completing their mission.
It was about as good an idea as the dark clouds would imply. It’s not that he was evil and decided to antagonize them with his powers—on the contrary, he was the kindest person in the group.
But releasing his seal brought grave misfortune upon the rest of the world.
The challenge was to recreate a place from your dreams. lol @ those “clouds”
