I had never heard of this before today and think more people need to know it exists. Maybe this evangelism seems strange to you, my not being Canadian at all, but it really just boils down to one thing: would I watch westerns with Mounties instead of cowboys? And the answer is: fuck yes (much love and admiration is due, of course, to Jay Ward)

This show is very good*.
I dearly wish David was less of the Perfect Polymath All-American WASP Country Boy Hero (bluuurghhh) but parts of his character feel so genuine (that shit-eating grin) that I can’t bring myself to hate him.
…I may just be looking forward to watching his world crumble around him though. Too early to tell.

CASUALTY OF THE RECESSION
End of last week: I sign a 12-month lease.
End of this week: I lose my job. Well, I guess you win some and you lose some! I just hope my loss is somebody’s gain (i.e. the company does not fail or sth crazy)

I had this over vanilla ice cream at a restaurant recently—yum. Up there with caramel, chocolate syrup and mini M&Ms on the “ideal vanilla ice cream toppings” list.
